These are Servers or Computers that are allocated to an individual or an organisation. These servers are monitored, managed and updated by Data center professionals (host).  Operating system, control panel, server setup and any pre-installed apps are all supported(managed) by the host.

Managed Server plans are usually more expensive than Unmanaged Server plans. Managed hosting requires far less expertise or work as the host does most of the work on your behalf.
